Going round the village

September 5, 2010 § Leave a comment

Mando is not a big island and the village is concentrated at the south west. Yesterday, we went around to announce the reception as a group supported by Iwan on gitar, Tomas on violin, Petr on digeridoo and Dario on a self made glass flute. This was highly appreciated and some thirty inhabitants, summerhouse owners and visitors came to the garden of Peter With’s café to meet us and hear what this week will bring. We then officially opened the art week at 6 pm in front of our sweet little café which has become the coordination centre, office and meeting place. Later in the evening two islanders came back to share a bottle of wine in front of the firewood stove. The tone has been set.
